Collaborative innovation networks, or COINs, are cyberteams of self-motivated people with a collective vision, to innovatively collaborate by sharing ideas, information, and work enabled by technology. COINs are powered by swarm creativity, wherein people work together in a structure that enables a fluid creation and exchange of ideas. Patterns of collaborative innovation frequently follow an identical path, from creator to COIN to collaborative learning network (CLN) to collaborative interest network (CIN).
The 8th edition of the Collaborative Innovation Networks (COINs) conference will be held at Suzhou, China. COINs will bring together researchers and practitioners from across the world to share the results of their work. The goal of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share cutting-edge advancements in the field of Social Network Analysis, Online Social Networks, Data Mining, AI & Deep Learning and the impact of those technologies on society and culture.

COINs18 Social Event
Suzhou (苏州)) is a city in Jiangsu province. It is famous for its beautiful gardens and traditional waterside architecture. The Classical Gardens of Suzhou were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997s. Suzhou has a number of attractions, including at least two that are absolutely world-class - its famous classical Chinese gardens, and the Suzhou Museum designed by a world-renowned architect. Suzhou's gardens and architecture have had influence worldwide. Suzhou Street in Beijing's Summer Palace is a copy of Suzhou's Shangtang Street, and the Chinese Garden Court in New York's Metropolitan Museum is a copy of part of the "Master of the Nets" garden. Both Vancouver's Sun-Yat-Sen Garden and Portland's Lan Su Chinese Garden were built by craftsmen imported from Suzhou.
COINs 2018 will be held at the Jinke Hotel Suzhou High Speed Rail. The hotel has over 300 spacious guest rooms, each with free WiFi, flat-screen TV, and more. Within the hotel, enjoy delicious meals at onsite restaurants, indoor pool, health club with fitness center and spa. The high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao to Suzhou Bei (Suzhou North) will take 23-30mins. It is the easiest way. Your accommodation hotel is right across the Suzhou Bei railway station. From 6AM - 8.30 PM. ¥39.5. After 8.30 PM, you may arrive at Suzhou train station and get a taxi to your hotel. If you need assistance to buy train tickets in advance, you can reach Xu Yingdong or Wu Qiong.
Regular shuttle buses run between Suzhou and both Shanghai airports, taking about an hour to Hongqiao and one hour and forty minutes to Pudong.
Shanghai-Hongqiao to Suzhou. Departs from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. On the hour from 10AM-4PM; and one at 5:30PM and 7PM. ¥50.
Suzhou to Shanghai-Hongqiao. The China Eastern Airlines buses going to Pudong pass through Hongqiao first. A shuttle bus between Pudong and Hongqiao leaves every 10 minutes from 6AM-9PM and costs ¥30.
Shanghai-Pudong to Suzhou. Departs from the parking lot on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1 building. Almost hourly 10:40AM-7:40PM ¥82.
Suzhou to Shanghai-Pudong. Departs from the CEAG (China Eastern Airlines Group) ticket office (No.115, Ganjiang West Rd). Almost hourly 6:20AM-2:50PM. ¥80.
